Guardian Enhances EOI API Integration with Automated Decision Return

We are excited to announce the expansion of Guardian’s Evidence of Insurability (EOI) API to include automated decision return, available just in time for 2025 Open Enrollment. The EOI enhancement will go live on October 20th. This update complements existing EOI functionality supporting the integrated submission of health questions and will deliver significant value to brokers by reducing manual entry and ensuring timely and accurate benefits data. The new automated decision return will be turned on by default for all customers that are using the current EOI integration.

EOI integrations are behind significant time savings and products sold. Without integrated EOI, 40% of employees completed EOI successfully. With integrated EOI, 70% did, and 60% got an immediate decision. (Source: Guardian)
